Here’s a Wednesday morning post from the train. I finally got my Sephora delivery (that I ordered at the beginning of the month, to make the most of sales prices). It actually took a week longer than a delivery that I ordered from Japan!
So here is a swatch post for Sephora – Teeny Bikini (L29)

I really like Sephora’s little bottles, but after having tried a few, I find the 5€ price tag a bit steep. This colour has turned out to be pretty typical of what I have come to expect from Sephora.
1st coat- pretty patchy, the formula is thick and sort of didn’t want to “stick” to my base coat.

This photo was taken indoors at night, but the colour matches pretty well. I was pretty sure that these varnishes are supposed to be fast-dry, but this first coat was no faster than average.
A second coat is enough for pretty good opacity :

Because of the thick formula, it’s hard not to get a streaky finish with this minty green creme.
It’s an okay colour for the summer, but I think I would prefer it either a shade darker, to make it pop, our a shade lighter, to make it look really creamy. The finish is a classic creme, shiny but not especially glossy.
But the thing that has ready annoyed me about this colour is that it bubbles as it (slowly) dries! When I applied it, it was perfectly smooth, but here’s a photo taken in the sunlight this morning:

This really annoys me, especially in a brand new polish. I will thin it down, and hopefully that will stop it, but I feel like I have ugly nails today!
It’s a shame that I often experience this sort of thing with Sephora varnishes, especially given the price you pay for a tiny bottle (5 ml), which works out at almost a Euro per millilitre. The only upside to the range is the huge choice of colours!
